2017 Review

  •  In 2017 We were involved in the following Ministries:

  •  Local Ministries:

  • We donated $ 2,713.00 dollars to the Lake Pointe Church Food Pantry through the monthly blessing basket collections.
  • Through the food pantry, 582  households were served and 1,587 church members were assisted.
  • A group of our members volunteered their time at the Lake Pointe Church Food Pantry stocking shelves on the 2nd and 5th Tuesday of each month and on the 3rd Thursday of the month assisting the clients in selecting food through Choice: Volunteers – Jim, Diane, Bill, Judy, Doris, Will, Gary, Pam, Gayla, Kim, Ron, Scarlett, Katrina, Dianne Shaw, Pam Brown, Suzanne, Patrick, Marilyn,  Al and Alexis.
  • We provided 2,500 stuffed Easter Eggs for special needs Easter Party.
  • We donated many toiletry supplies to Dennis Gants Trinity Restoration Ministry at our annual Christmas Party. We also collected $1644.35 through our quarterly love offerings to help the ministry provide care and support for several Christian men who have been released for the Criminal Justice System and are on parole.
  • We provided scholarships for (3) special needs children to attend Church Summer Camp in the amount of $375.00.
  • A group of our members volunteered time every other Thursday at Arbor House Memory Care Unit ministering to the residents there: Cindy Corley, Doris Dewese,  and Karen King.
  • Numerous members provided meals for other members who were recovering from illness/surgery.
  • Members provide food delivery to shut-ins thru the Rockwall Meals-on-Wheels Program – Cindy Corley.
  • Members volunteered in the Vacation Bible School Program each summer – Kim Bowen.
  • National Ministry:
  • We collected quarterly love offerings for our adopted church plant in Tampa Bay Florida (Church Experience). Our love offerings totaled $2920.00 for the year.
  • International Ministry:
  • We collected quarterly love offerings totaling $2395.00 to help Sally Todd with her Children’s Health Ministry in Haiti (ServantsOfChrist). This money will be used to help lift children of Haiti out of malnutrition, disease, and deprivation.
  • The men’s Thursday Breakfast Bible Study Group also donated $600.00 dollars to Sally Todd’s Children’s Health Ministry in Haiti  (ServantsOfChrist). This money was used to help lift children of Haiti out of malnutrition, disease, and deprivation.
