Accomplishments

  •  In 2016:

  •  We were involved in the following Ministries;
  •  Local Ministries:

  • We donated $ 1,835.00 dollars to the Lake Pointe Church Food Pantry through the monthly blessing basket collections.
  • Through the food pantry, 747  households were served and 2,409 church members were assisted.
  • A group of our members volunteered their time at the Lake Pointe Church Food Pantry stocking shelves on the 2nd and 5th Tuesday of each month and on the 3rd Thursday of the month assisting the needy in selecting food through Choice: Volunteers – Jim, Diane, Bill, Judy, Doris, Will, Gary, Pam, Gayla, Kim, Ron,Scarlett, Katrina, Dianne Shaw, Pam Brown, Suzanne, Patrick and Marilyn.
  • We provided 1,000 stuffed Easter Eggs for special needs Easter Party.
  • We donated many toiletry supplies to Dennis Gants Trinity Restoration Ministry at our annual Christmas Party. In addition we contributed $300 from the Blessing Basket Fund, $200 in Wal-Mart Gift Cards and $150 in individual checks. We agreed as a class to start taking up a quarterly offering in 2017 to help support this ministry.
  • We provided scholarships for (2) special needs children to attend Church Summer Camp in the amount of ($300).
  • A group of our members volunteered time every other Thursday at Arbor House Memory Care Unit ministering to the residents there: Cindy Corley, Doris Dewese, Dianne Shaw and Karen King.
  • Numerous members provided meals for other members who were recovering from illness/surgery.
  • Members provide food delivery to shut-ins thru the Rockwall Meals-on-Wheels Program – Cindy Corley.
  • Members volunteered in the Vacation Bible School Program each summer – Kim Bowen.
  • We provided $100.00 dollars to make a gift basket and donate to the Lake Pointe Church Fall Festival for raffle. Pam Brown made the basket.
  • National Ministry:
  • We collected two love offerings for our adopted church plant in Tampa Bay Florida (Church Experience). One in May for $800.00 and the other at our annual Christmas Party for $1100.00 . We agreed as a class to adopt this church and support it with a quarterly offering to help them spread God’s word in the Tampa Bay area.
  • International Ministry:
  • We donated $400.00 from the Blessing Basket Fund to help Sally Todd with her Children’s Health Ministry in Haiti (ServantsOfChrist). This money will be used to provide food for the thousands of malnourished children affected by poverty and devastation from the hurricane that hit the island this past year. We agreed as a class to collect quarterly offerings to support this ministry.
  • The men’s Thursday Breakfast Bible Study Group donated $600.00 dollars to Sally Todd’s Children’s Health Ministry in Haiti  (ServantsOfChrist). This money was used for food to feed the children of Haiti.

  • In 2015:

  • We were involved in the following Ministries;
  • We donated $923.00 dollars to the church food pantry through the monthly blessing basket collections.
  • Through the food pantry, 642 families were served and 2225 church members were assisted.
  • We provided 500 stuffed Easter Eggs for special needs Easter Party.
  • We donated clothes and other supplies to Dennis Gants at our Christmas Party for his  Aftercare Prison Ministry.
  • Adopted a new Church Plant in Flordia, Church Experience is the name of the Church. We took up an offering of $ 845.00 at our Christmas Party and sent to Church. Total donation to Church Experience for year $1445.00.               .
  • A group of our members volunteered their time on every other Thursday at Arbor House Memory Care Unit ministering to the residents there: Cindy, Suzanne, Doris, Will and Karen.
  • A group of our members volunteered their time at the Church Food Pantry stocking shelves on the 2nd and 5th Tuesdays of each month and assisting the needy in selecting food on the 3rd Thursday of the month : Diane, Bill, Judy, Doris, Will, Gary, Pam, Gayla, Kim, Katrina, and Marilyn.
  • Numerous members provided meals for other members who were recovering from illness/surgery.
  •  The mens breakfast group sent $400.00 dollars to Sally Todd (Haiti Health Ministries). This money was used for food to feed the children of Haiti.
  • Members provide food delivery to shut-ins thru the Rockwall meals-on-wheels program: Michael, Cindy, Patrick & Suzanne.
  • Members volunteered in the Vacation Bible School program each summer: Kim & Diane.
  • We provided $100.00 dollars to make a gift basket and donate to the Church Fall Festival for raffle. Katrina Johnson made the basket.
  • We took up an offering for one of Diane’s friends who was in the Redeeming Women’s program. She just re-gained custody of her children and had no money for school clothes or school supplies. The class donated $ 400.00 to help and different individuals donated another $ 200.00.

  • We donated $950.00 dollars to the church food pantry through the monthly blessing basket collections.
  •  Through the food pantry, 465 families were served and 1479 church members assisted.
  •  We provided scholarships for 2 special needs children to attend church summer camp ($300).
  • We provided 1600 stuffed Easter Eggs for special needs Easter Party.
  • We donated $250.00 dollars to Dennis Gants Aftercare Prison Ministry.
  • A group of our members volunteered their time on every other Thursday at Arbor House Memory Care Unit ministering to the residents there: Cindy, Suzanne, Doris, Will and Karen.
  • A group of our members volunteered their time at the Church Food Pantry stocking shelves on the 2nd and 5th Tuesdays of each month and assisting the needy in selecting food on the 3rd Thursday of the month : Diane, Bill, Judy, Doris, Will, Gary, Pam, Gayla, Kim, Katrina, Earline and Marilyn.
  • Numerous members provided meals for other members who were recovering from illness/surgery.
  • The Men’s Breakfast Bible Study donated $100 dollars to the Liberty Institute. This is a group involved in defending Christian rights in court and Prayer in schools. They also sent $150.00 dollars to Sally Todd (Haiti Health Ministries). This money was used for food to feed the children of Haiti.
  • We provide food delivery to shut-ins thru the Rockwall meals-on-wheels program: Michael, Cindy, Patrick & Suzanne.
  • Members volunteer in the Vacation Bible School program each summer:  Kim & Diane.
