Food Pantry

The Food Pantry
can-goods
Lake Pointe Rockwall manages a food pantry for people who may need a little help from time to time to feed their family. Once a week, they are invited to visit our Food Pantry to shop for items for their family. (There is no fee for these items)

The Restocking process
food-pantry-restock
The Food Pantry is re-stocked each week after the visitors have shopped for food. The new items come from the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB), local food donations and from financial donations (used to purchase food). These items are placed on the shelves to prepare for the next visitors. Volunteers from Our Life Group help with restocking on the 2nd & 5th Tuesday from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. If you would like to volunteer, contact Pam Robertsonn or send an email to info@snlp.org

Food Pantry Donations
Our Life Group supports the Food Pantry with donations, both food and financial. On the 1st Saturday night of each month, we pass a basket around our Life Group and all funds collected are used to purchase items for the food pantry. Pam Robertson takes the money and shops for good deals at local grocery stores. Before shopping, she contacts the Food Pantry to find out what critical items are needed due to unavailability from the NTFB.
Pam communicates Food Pantry recommendations to our Life Group. Our members also bring canned goods and other packaged foods to our class room. These items are used to help restock the Pantry.
If you would like to help with these items, contact Pam Robertson or send an email to info@snlp.org
